I attended Murray State University and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I received my Masters degree in 2012 in Reading and Writing.  I am currently working on my administration degree and will graduate in 2018 with my Rank 1. 


I have been teaching for 10 years.  I previously taught first grade here at MLK and have been the RTI (Reading To Intervention) teacher for the past 4 years.  



        My name  is Mrs. Stephanie Blanton.  I am a Reading/Math interventionist at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School and I'm loving every minute of it!!

        I was born and raised here in Christian County.  I attended Sinking Fork Elementary, Christian County Middle School, and Christian County High.  I played softball for the Christian County Lady Colonels for five years where I received numerous awards.  I was the first CCHS softball player to be voted an All-American. I was the youngest recipient to be inducted into the Heritage Bank Hall of Fame. I also honored to have my jersey retired in January 2016.    

        I graduated from Murray State University in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  I received my Masters  from Murray State University in 2012, majoring in Reading and Writing. I will have my rank 1 in School Leadership in 2018.

        I have been married to my husband, William, for 18 years.  We have three sons named Ty, Trey, and T.J. ages 16, 13, and 7.  They continue to keep us busy throughout the year with their sports.
